Allowlist

Last updated: Aug 5, 2026
Allow trusted sites when something breaks.

Allowlist

Allowlisting a site turns off blocking for it completely — use it when a site depends on something DNDShield blocks by default.

Add a site

  1. Open the DNDShield popup on the site you want to allow.
  2. Use the allowlist toggle to add the current site.

Allowlisted sites are stored in your settings and sync across devices if you're signed in.

Allowlist vs. Temporary Allow

Allowlist is permanent until you remove it. For a quick, time-boxed pause instead, use Temporary Allow (10 minutes or 1 hour) — better for testing whether DNDShield is really the cause before committing to a permanent exception.

Per-site fine control

Rather than an all-or-nothing allowlist, Site Overrides let you keep tracker blocking on while turning off ad blocking (or vice versa) for a specific site.
